Does a sports massage hurt?
There are stories that a good massage is a painful massage. This can be true, injured or fatigued muscle tissue is already under strain. Deep tissue massage opens up the fibres & fluid flow, this can be painful at times. I have over 20 years experience of Sports Massage in Warrington and will always start off easily so you can get used to the feeling of this treatment. It then may be necessary to work deeply into the tissues and this can cause pain, everybody has their pain threshold. However, deep massage should only cause good and manageable pain. If at any point you feel uncomfortable i will happily alter the treatment.
